Regnerisch

A minimalist collage in ternary form comprised of analog tape loops, piano, Yamaha CS-5, a few filters, and a Reason mixer.

This is an image I took of Cold Water Lake a couple of Novembers ago. Snow was late that year. But it was super rainy, to the point that the rain travelled horizontal at times. Mt. St. Helens (the volcano) is off the frame to the right, over the ridge and across a short valley where it is still, to this day, devoid of most trees. At times, the volcano looks so near that you think you could walk up to its summit rim wearing nothing but tennis shoes. (Click on the image to enlarge)

No. I’m just starting out with Bandcamp first. I’ll have stuff on Spotify soon. Thanks!

Nice! Post some. Getting the interface to record off an analog tape machine was a bit of a challenge.

I have a few linked to on my about page and on my Soundcloud page (although those are more flashbacks to various phases of my being a musician or pure experimentation), linked at the bottom of my page, icon only. I think I’ve posted a few experiments as well in my posts — but they were just experimental tidbits no more than 60 seconds long. I occasionally get the bug to play around with various styles and sounds.

I found having a decent input for the PC to be really helpful, especially with DAWs. I’ve got only minor complaints about my focusrite, but that seems to have been cleaned up with firmware updates. If you’re having issues with distortion or dropouts going from analogue to digital, I recommend getting a dedicated input processor (unless you have one already, in which case, please ignore me).

That’s, unfortunately, not mine 🙂 Just someone I “liked” at one point.

Try this, my ambient/experimental from ~2004 using Sony’s Acid. Electronic/tweaked and ruined loops/acoustic/keys:

Or this collaboration around 2020 where everything is mine except Tara’s vocals:

No worries! That’ll teach me to give vague directions without checking the content after six months (or more). 🙂

I generally don’t like plopping links into other bloggers’ comment streams. Especially if they seem self-serving.
